After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in community health education, immediately followed by a Master's degree in health services administration, I worked for a couple of years then decided to pursue my true passion and become a registered nurse.
Driven by my own experience with a family member at the age of 18, with each degree I pursued, I was committed to making a difference in other people’s lives. It was my intention that I wanted to have an impact on an individual’s personal health choices, either directly or indirectly. It made sense that a degree in nursing would round out the circle.
I have over 20 years working at the bedside in critical care and in the cardiac cath lab. My critical care experience has been multidisciplinary and in a variety of settings. I have worked in intensive care, post anesthesia care (PACU) and for the last several years in the cardiac cath lab. I have taken care of severely critically ill medical, surgical, neurological, trauma and cardiac patients, adult and pediatric.
So why legal nurse consulting? My answer is simple. I am fascinated by the relationship between law and medicine. I am excited to use my nursing knowledge in an expanded way, yet in keeping with my personal commitment made many years ago to making a difference in other’s lives.
I look forward to working with you and being a part of your growing success!
